Mark began his career in communications first in London before moving to Rio de Janeiro, New York and Miami.

Capitalising on opportunities in digital and emerging tech over the last twenty years he had held senior operational, corporate development and advisory roles with Publicis Group SA and WPP PLC.

Over recent years as technology has become increasingly pervasive he has been involved in consultative roles identifying opportunities in digital innovation, agritech, transportation, renewables and general infrastructure investment in the LATAC region.

A spanish and portuguese speaker he brings a deep knowledge of conducting business in the region together with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Nick McCall
PARTNER
Nick was born and raised in Latin America having spent his early years in Argentina and Brazil followed by a BA in Hispanic Studies at Bristol University. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese Nick started his career in finance joining Bank of London & South America (BOLSA)/Lloyds Bank working in a number of Latin American countries in Corporate Banking and Treasury.
After a ten year stint in New York and London at Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse later in his career Nick moved over to Wealth Management working for Swiss, Gulf and UK financial institutions and most recently moved into the Non-Governmental space joining Canning House as Chairman July of 2020.
Nick brings an impressive knowledge of the Americas having worked in countries spanning Argentina to Canada with a deep understanding of treasury, finance and the cultural intricacies of doing business in the region.
Christopher Garnett
SENIOR ADVISOR
Following a 30-year career with Euromoney, where he was the director of their conferences business and a Group Executive Committee member, Christopher set up his own consultancy, ChuteCourt Asesores. It advised funds, banks and others how to develop business around the world and introduces capital to projects.
From 2019 to 2022, Christopher was the Principal Permanent Adviser for the UK to the President of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI): in that role, he sourced and helped structure the first use of UK official funds into an infrastructure project in the region.
He is also Senior Adviser to OMFIF, the Official Monetary & Financial Institutions Forum, a think tank. There he has helped to launch the Sovereign Debt Institute and frequently convenes funding officials – from developed as well as emerging economies – with investors and banks for his trademark lively debates and discussions of global bond markets.
He has decades of Latin American experience with an extensive network of relationships in official, banking and corporate sectors.
A graduate of Manchester (BA) and Edinburgh (MSc) universities, he speaks Spanish and French.
Camilo Otálora
SENIOR ADVISOR
A native of Colombia, Camilo has over 20 years of real estate investment, finance and development experience in Colombia, Central America and the USA. Before joining Andean Capital, Camilo was Managing Director and Colombian Country Manager for Paladin Realty, a premier private equity firm, serving also on the company´s investment committee. Prior to joining Paladin Realty he was a partner at Boston Andes Capital, a private equity real estate investment, asset management and development firm with offices in Boston, Bogotá and Buenos Aires
Between 2008 and 2012, Camilo was development manager at Terranum, a major Colombian real estate company, where he was in charge of developing commercial and hotel projects in Colombia and Costa Rica. Between 2000 and 2007, Mr. Otálora worked with Fernando Mazuera & Cía, where he was responsible for financial planning and cash flow management for a group of companies.

Camilo received a BSc. in Economics from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá in 2000, an MBA from the Universidad de los Andes in 2006, and an MSc. In Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2008. Mr. Otálora is a LEED AP (Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design – Accredited Professional).

Growing up with roots in both Seville and Gibraltar, his multicultural upbringing has instilled in him a unique perspective and an acute awareness of the diverse intricacies that shape global business landscapes.
During his time at the esteemed Immobiliaria Espacio in Madrid, Alejandro had the privilege of working closely with industry experts, gaining hands-on experience in the world of property development and real estate investment. This transformative experience allowed him to refine his financial analysis skills, market research acumen, and project management expertise. Additionally, witnessing first-hand how cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices shaped the industry inspired him to seek similar opportunities within the investment realm.
